If this is a floppy drive, you may be able to easily correct the problem.  Find a disk that you believe to be OK and insert it in the drive. Exit to DOS, and list the directory of the good disk (e.g. DIR A:).  Now reinsert the bad disk, and immediately run Norton Disk Doctor again. Do not use any other program to access the bad disk before running Norton Disk Doctor.
